THIS WEEKEND
A parade of one-on-ones
Azhar met Alua, one of our very first members, who moved across the country this year and landed the job she had been dreaming about. A podcast about that path is coming to our YouTube soon. Here is part of what she wrote afterwards:
"This is not just a group of people. It is a space where people support each other and sometimes have no idea how much they can change someone's life. Sometimes one post, one conversation, one small piece of advice looks like nothing. But that small push is exactly what helps a person decide on a big step."
Azhar also spent time with Tolkyn, and Maria met Alina in Atlanta, where two people who had never laid eyes on each other talked for four hours without a pause long enough to order more coffee.
None of this was arranged by an algorithm. Every one of these meetings started the same way: someone showed up to an online room full of strangers.
OPEN DOORS
Why our networking events have no guest list
Most of what we run is for members only. Networking is the one thing we open to everyone, and that is on purpose.
A network that only talks to itself stops being a network. Every time we open a session, someone walks in from an industry none of us work in, and two women leave with a contact they could never have found inside our own circle. That is the whole point of a net. It is worth something only when it is wide.
So Wednesday is free, and open to current members, past participants, and women who have never been to anything of ours before.
THE PREMISE
Networking is how opportunities travel
In the US most opportunities travel through referrals and warm introductions. Your growth depends on your skills, and also on whether the right people remember you exist when something opens up.
Most of us were never taught the American version of this. It has its own rhythm and its own idea of what is polite, and it is much easier to learn by doing it in a friendly room than by reading about it.
THE SESSION
What the 90 minutes look like
You rotate through breakout groups and meet 12 to 24 professionals from inside and outside the community. In each round you deliver a 30 to 60 second introduction and hear other women do theirs, which is where most of the learning quietly happens. You leave with LinkedIn connections and a simple system for following up – the part everyone skips ;)
Free to attend, and spots are capped at 40.

After the event, every single woman who attends gets personal recommendations from us on her self-presentation. What we heard from you specifically, what worked, and what to change before the next room you walk into.
You practice in front of 12 to 24 people, and then you find out how it actually sounded from the outside. That second part is usually the expensive one. We do it for free.
